Proceedings of the Conference organized by the Education Research Centre and
the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs in the context of the Greek
Presidency of the European Union, on 2-3 June 2003. The edition includes the
presentations of the plenary sessions as well as reports of the eight Working
Groups that took place in three parallel sessions. The presentations cover
issues of professional development, teacher training and assurance of the
quality of education in Europe.
These domains are further exploited in the Working Groups sessions during
which official institutions presented and exchanged views on educational
policy and examples of «good practices», education support activities
implemented by the member-states and the SE European Countries. The language
